About Us

Barnwell is proudly owned and operated by the Miller family at 96027 Skipper Lane. Carly Miller, along with John and Carol Woodmansee, bring decades of equestrian experience and passion to the barn. Our family-run operation is dedicated to providing top-notch care for our horses. When they're not busy with the horses, you might spot our two beloved cats, Kraken and Queenie, roaming the property.

Profile: Athletic as she is beautiful, Atorranta is a forward mare with a big stride. Originally imported from Argentina, she joined the Barnwell herd in March 2022 and has shown in jumpers up to 1.3 m. While she has a powerful jump, Attoranta's temperament is as sweet and gentle as they come. She happily stands cross-tied for bath and farrier, loads quietly, and hacks anywhere that our travels take her! Attoranta continues to compete while serving as role model for younger horses in training.

Profile: Ruby was a yearling with a star studded pedigree when she came to us in July 2022. She became fast friends with Chase, a rescue pup of the same age, and they have romped and chased each other in the paddocks ever since. Ruby is a confident and secure filly who loves her job, is eager to learn, and aims to please. From her first moments under saddle to her first efforts over fences, Ruby's positive energy brings joy to all who meet her. When it comes to her potential, the sky is the limit!
